Introducing Greg – A film by Zach Hindriksen
Introducing Greg, did a great job of answering the main traditional journalism questions: who, what, where, when, why and how. The who is Greg (you could find this out without even watching the movie – ‘Introducing Greg’). The what is an Algonquin student who has a love for music and making music. Followed by the where – at Algonquin where he uses the schools resources to help him make his beautiful music. And the when is always but recently Greg feels that he is getting better at it. Why? Because Greg is passionate about music. And how…by recording it and adding another piece to the puzzle. The video easily gives out this information – the viewer does not have to look for it. This makes the video very enjoyable and it relates to the comedic theme and genre.
Overall there were no technical glitches in the video. The clips were edited and placed well together, adding to the comical aspect of the video. The only thing that could have been beneficial to the video would be to increase the volume of the talents voice or lower the volume of the music track. At some points of the video the actor’s voice is hard to understand because it is drowned out by the music
The Rap Song in the middle of the video is well placed. It breaks up the video which keeps the viewers interest longer. The rap video was very funny.
I think overall the video was fun to watch. It was very comedic. The titles were well placed and the video quality was great. The only thing that I would have changed is the volume of the talent’s voice. Other than that I laugh every time I watch it. It gets a solid 4 stars out of 5. Well done!
